WHO IS IDW Design & Build (IDW)?
IDW Design & Build (IDW) was established in 2007 as a start-up business in an interior and renovation company when both of them were 21 years old. They graduated with Diploma Studies in Interior Designer followed by a Degree in Interior Architecture and ended with a Master of Science Facilities Management.
Their company was first driven after receiving an offer to design and renovate a bungalow which cost RM1.1 million. At the age of 23 years old, both founders received another big project to design a college costing RM17 million. It took one year for the completion process.
Due to insufficient experiences and young age factors, both founders were often scammed by contractors and faced with debt issues. High determination and persistence became their main willpower to further pursue their studies in Master of Science Facilities Management, yet still managing IDW business.
Lokman Hakim, IDW Board Director, was once failed by his lecturer in one of his Master’s subjects due to time commitment in study. Both founders were continuously faced with sly contractors who took advantage which forced them to latter bear the loss Then Both founders decided to get married in 2012 after great deal of challenges faced in the business world.
Despite great deal of challenges faced in bearing loss liability from getting scammed by contractors, they stand strong in building IDW empire.
What's The Push Factor to Build IDW business legacy?
Tragic accidents open up Lokman Hakim and Rabiatul Adawiyah’s mind to create a stronger version of IDW legacy. In 2017, the fire tragedy almost killed Lokman Hakim and his family’s precious life when they were staying at their New Zealand’s vacation house.
From that moment, it gave both of them a ‘push factor’ to educate and grow their team stronger than before in continuing IDW business legacy. Determined to help 1 million home property owner to get their dream home equipped with beauty and perfection.
What Makes IDW Design & Build (IDW) Different In 2020 During Covid-19 Pandemic?
2020 shocked everyone with its significant history in the world whereby COVID-19 rapidly spreading to all over the world with its death announcement; therefore, everyone was forced to face ‘total lockdown’ of staying at home until the government announce otherwise.
With a prepared mentality mindset in facing futuristic challenges, Lokman Hakim, Rabiatul Adawiyah and IDW team were ready enough to face every circumstance.
Shifting their main focus, analysing every unpredictable possible means and getting ready to turn their highest attempt in giving the best.
Due to the Movement Control Order (MCO), many homeowners felt that they needed a better home for comfort and happiness.
With high request to beautify every homeowners’ home, IDW becomes the pioneer in designing a comfortable place to work, study and spend time with family. This ‘New Normal’ inspired IDW to release their first book collection entitled IDW Design Collection in helping more homeowner to get their dream home.
